Working as a home visit doctor, when I visited elderly people at their homes, I often heard them say, “I live alone and have no one to talk to, so I feel lonely.” I felt a sense of helplessness towards myself for not being able to do anything about it.
Realizing the importance of communication in the happiness of life, I developed Mia, a talking cat-shaped robot that speaks funny phrases that make you giggle.
